Dr. Rebecca Sagan ND earned a B.Sc. (Biology) from the University of Lethbridge and then went on to complete the 4 year naturopathic program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto graduating in 2003. Her practice interests are in diet, nutrition, botanical medicine, homeopathy and acupuncture.
Dr. Sagan is very interested in the treatment of thyroid disorders, including hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, Hashimoto's thyroiditis and subclinical hypothyroidism. She is one of a few practitioners in Alberta who have completed the certification training seminar for Wilson's Temperature Syndrome. Dr. Sagan's other practice interests are in treating hormone problems, fatigue and digestive issues. Dr. Sagan also speaks publicly and has appeared on Breakfast Television.
Recently, Dr. Sagan has completed training in Bowen therapy, a gentle method of treating many musculoskeletal problems and chronic pain. The technique uses rolling and plucking motions over muscles and tendons to allow for stimulation and relaxation of the muscles and nervous system.
A native Calgarian, Dr. Sagan has always been involved in local atheletics such as soccer, basketball, field hockey and running. Today she is still an avid participant in the Calgary Lady’s Field Hockey Association.
Dr. Sagan loves the challenge of supporting her patients as they develop new health habits and integrate them into their lifestyles. Her goal is to encourage optimal health and satisfaction of daily living.
